Would someone please tell me the benefits of omega 3? And is it true that it is an anti-inflamitory?|||There are many benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. I will mention some of them:
- they maintain healthy brain function
- aid concentration and learning
- support cardiovascular health
- maintain stable mood
- preserve eye function
- have anti-inflammatory properties
- lower risk of many potential health problems (diabetes, depression, cancer etc).
The most important omega-3 fats are EPA and DHA (derived from fish oil), plant sources provide different types of omega fats (ALA,SDA) or much lower quantities of DHA.
