Did you take a prenatal that had omega 3 fatty acids during pregnancy and did you have a healthy baby?

I am taking omega 3 acid along with calcium, iron, folic acid, and vitamin C.

Is omega 3 safe as a supplement during pregnancy?|||Omega 3 from fish oil is very good for you and your baby - it boosts brain development and can help against depression. You want something with high levels of EPA and DHA.

Omega 3 from flax or flaxseed oil is NOT good for pregnancy or breastfeeding. It can affect your hormones in ways that are not good for the baby. There have also been some animal studies that have shown harmful effects, though no human studies as yet. Some people believe that taking a little flaxseed oil around week 38-39 can help you go into labor sooner - all the more reason to avoid it earlier on.|||YES!

Before I was pregnant I prepared my body by taking folic acid and prenatal vitamines with omega 3 ( Expecta), after I find out I was pregnant I took (CitraNatal DHA )

Since I was a workaholic while I was pregnant my baby was born a month before my due date.He was born vary healthy and he stayed at the hospital for 4 days ( Doctor wanted to be sure he was ok). While my son was at the hospital was breastfeeding my son, and yes I still was taking prenatal vitamins with Omega 3.

Well my son is an advanced baby, he did crawl, speak, walk before time..so you be the judge!!

--------------------------------------…

These last 12 weeks mark an extremely important phase for your baby's brain development. For those that aren't taking some already, consider boosting your diet with the Omega fatty acids, especially Omega-3, which contains DHA.

When pregnant, proper pregnancy nutrition obviously results in an increased need for the right nutrients. Deficiency or excess of any number of nutrients can lead to birth defects or complications during pregnancy for the mother. Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) from fish oils are of major importance for proper nutrition during pregnancy, not only for fetal development, but for the mother as well. For example, DHA is a major component of the brain and other neural tissue including the light-sensitive cells in the retina of the eye. All essential fatty acids are important for normal fetal development. DHA is particularly important because the fetus and/or premature infants cannot produce DHA efficiently|||i dunno.. omega 3 fatty acid is supposed to be good for brain development..

i didn't feel comfortable taking it every day and in vitamin form just cuz i wasn't sure about it either..

but i did get flax seeds and grind them up, you can make cookies with the seeds too.

i also bought oatmeal (expensive oatmeal but really tasty) and it had omega 3 in it and so do walnuts and some cereals.. it says it all over the box if you find a food with it in there.

so i ate those foods to get some omega 3 without taking a daily vitamin.

then i also took a regular prenatal vitamin

my golden rule with pregnancy is to follow your instincts.. if you feel like it isn't good or are worried about it, i probably wouldn't take it.

your body is good at letting you know what is good and what isn't for the baby (that's what cravings and morning sickness are.. your body telling you what you need and getting rid of what you don't).

anyways my boys (twins!) are 4 months old and healthy but i didn't take the daily vitamin so i dunno if that answers your question!.|||My Doctor gave me a prescription for omega 3 and my children are 4 and 2 years old now. My children are fine. They also now have Orange juice and other food products that have Omega 3 fatty acids in them. JUst to let you know the pills are called OptiNate and have three grams of OMega3 fatty acids and I took them once a day|||you should be fine, except i would strongly suggest that you check with your doc about the iron you aer taking.....if you don't really need it, this is not good to take too much of for the baby's sake...so please check withy your doc about the iron, if you haven't already...asap!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....all the best for a healthy, wonderful pregnancy and baby!!!! congrats!!!|||Absolutely! Omega 3 is just a dietary supplement that we all need for good healthy. You just need to make sure to not have too much of any supplement you take because that can be harmful, that why you just talk to your doctor about it.|||yep, actually my doctor perscribed it to me on my first prenatal visit. but i discontinued taking it cuz everytime i did i would throw up everything everytime. and thats with taking it with food|||I took everything you're taking, with the exception of the iron. My son is almost 4 and has no problems. I had a very easy pregnancy and delivery-I hope you do, too! :) Good luck!|||Yes all prenatal vitamins are supposed to have omega 3 in them. They help your child's brain and spine grow. Make sure you ask your doctor before taking it with other medication tho it may not mix well with other medicine.|||absolutely. you should be taking omega3. no doubt about it. it is very imp. for the brain development of the foetus.|||I take prenatals along with Expecta which has extra DHA in it for brain development.

All of my kids are very healthy and very smart!|||I always forgot to take my prenatals with both of my girls, and they are both beautiful, happy and healthy!|||to be totally honest I didn't take my vitamins they made me so very sick. I did take Calcium pills tho and I ate lots of fruits and veggies. So I'd get my fiber and iron and so forth.|||yeah your totally fine. Omega 3 and the folic acids will help prevent any retardation. keep up the good work|||omega 3 is so good for you while you're pregnant... it's something you should take whether you are pregnant or not.|||make sure its not derived from fish..fish that contains mercury can cause autism.

they have supplements at babies r us that are safe.|||congrats yes its safe i did all that i have 4 kids all healthy

babies good pregnancy and delivery|||I TOOK NO PRENATEL VIETAMINS THEY MADE ME SICK!!! AND MY BABY CAME OUT HEALTHY AS CAN BE

What is the possible cure for Autism and what is the possible effects of taking Omega 3 and Omega 6 Foods?

I want to know if the Omega 3 and Omega 6 can have any positive effects on the disease.|||I am not a doctor, but I am a special education teacher of children with autism, and try to keep up with current autism research. I have not heard anything about Omega 3 and Omega 6 being used for autism, but I think that these are part of a healthy diet. I think that a healthy, balanced diet is important for all kids, and can help improve behavior and academics for all children.

I would also exersise caution in dealing with anything that is labeled as a "cure" or "treatment" until you have done serious research into it. There are many "fad treatments" out there, and many are not shown to be effective. Please be especially carefully with any kind of "Mercury detox" or anything similar. There have been news reports of these causing death in some children. There is not enough research to know how harmful these are.|||I heard an "Aluminium Detox Program" (whatever one of them is) has been known to work. Another alternative would be a "Mercury Detox Program"|||Autism is developmental neurobiology issue, difficult to fix, maybe in the future we can in an older autistic child re-trigger axonal pathway cueing or promote otherwise neuro and glio-genesis. Omega fatty acids are probably healthy for myelination.

How old do you have to be to take Omega-3 super pill?

Im 15 years old and been having problems with memory and thinking so my mom gave me a Purity product Omega-3 Super Pill and it has Coenzyme Q10 in it and plant sterols. It says adults take 2 times a day. I weigh 130 pounds. Can this harm me in any way such as overdose etc?|||It's just fish fat - just food - take a bunch of it - 3000 mgs - might help whatever you have - probably there will be no change. Fish oil is for the long range. Atkins wants you to take it with a little vitamin E so that it is better absorbed.

Usually any of the supplements are used when you definitely have something wrong with you. At 15, almost nothing is ever wrong with you.|||It won't hurt you. It is of questionable benefit for you though. You are more likely not sleeping enough than anything.

Is it cheaper to get an Omega watch at an authorized dealer or the at the Omega boutique @ Starhill gallery?

Does the Omega boutique give out discounts to watches that are also sold at a local authorized retailer?|||The Omega Boutique @ Starhill Gallery in Malaysia is an authorized dealer. It that is the one you mean, and as such is required to sell Omega watches at MSRP.

While a number of other brands are offered with a discount with a certain credit card, Omega is not--you are only offered a leather product as a premium.

Do products containing Omega-3 fish oil have mercury in them?

Is it safe to eat products that contain Omega-3 fish oil, like dairy products or peanut butter or generally anything that says it's in there, because of the possibility of mercury? I am on the autistic spectrum, which makes me especially awry, because autistics tend to accumulate mercury in their bodies more than regular folk.|||NO! The omega-3's in non-animal products like milk are not derived from salmon, or any fish for that matter. Omega-3's are found in plants but in FAR LESS amounts than fish.

Don't worry about PCB's like mercury. Mercury is due to bioaccumulation which is not a problem for plants but a problem for carnivores or other animals at the top of the food chain like salmon and us humans.|||No because you would die because mercury is poisoness

How do omega 3 fatty acids work to help lose weight?

Scientifically, how to Omega 2 fatty acids work in your body to help you lose weight if they even do?|||Omega 3's, helps you have a healthy heart. it does this by thinning the blood, reducing your chances for heart attack and blood clots. studies also found that it improves your mood, and lessens your chance of depression. omega 3's are a healthy fat which your body does not produce on it's own. You could take it in a supplement form or it is found naturally in fish, flax seed, and soy. It also improves the look of your hair, skin and nails. As for helping you lose weight it would not do it on it's own, but is a good aide in healthy living.|||No its a scam|||first off do your own freakin homework you dumbfuk...

2nd you're not gonna lose any weight and it wouldn't matter cause you are a fat beotch....|||Omega-3 fatty acids don't necessarily help you lose weight, but they do raise your "good" cholesterol while at the same time lowering your "bad" and overall cholesterol levels. And it is true that you need to have a certain level of healthy fat in your diet if you want to lose weight (common weight loss nutrient ratio is an even 3-way split -- 33 1/3% protein, 33 1/3% carbs. and 33 1/3% fat). Best sources of Omega-3's are: fish, fish oil, flax seed, flax seed oil, and Smart Balance Omega peanut butter. Best sources of monounsaturated fat (another "good" fat) are: avocadoes, eggs, nuts, and olive oil.

How much does the average Omega Watch cost?

I am thinking about buying a new watch, particular an Omega watch. I went to their website to look a few watches. They don't list the prices, so I am just curious how much an average Omega watch cost. Can i take prozac and omega 3 at the same time ?

Hi everyone i would like to know if i can take prozac and omega 3 at the same time or at different hours,

is it safe to take both or taking both is dangerous.

just wanna know because i would like to start taking omega 3 since i had heard so many good things about it. so anyways thanks in advanced for your response.|||There is no direct interaction between omega-3 (specifically in this case, it would be the EPA that's relevant) and prozac. ie: there is no toxicity issue.

HOWEVER... therapeutic dosages of DHA (into the range of 2,000-3,000mg/d) will **raise serotonin levels.** So you may have to (be able to) reduce your prozac dosage!

Yes, you can take them at the same time. But know that your fish oil supplement must be taken with meals to optimize absorbance.

Note: Your prescribing physician should be aware that you're starting the fish oil supplements. And you should be assessed periodically (beginning about 2 months after you start the fish oils) to ensure that you're not over-medicating.|||Yes, it's safe. Prozac is an antidepressant and the Omega 3 is just fish oils. They won't interfere with each other. I take potassium supplements (prescribed!) for a severe deficiency and am able to take it with anything, no big deal and potassium is much more serious than Omegas. I just bought some Omega 3 yesterday for my husband and I, good for heart health among other things. Go for it and good luck with the Prozac.|||You're best off not taking Prozac at all. Don't be a victim of the medical e$tabli$hment and BIG PHARMA.

It interferes with your thyroid and many other functions. The active ingredient Fluoxetine (like Fluoride, DANGEROUS) has been shown to cause severe liver dysfunction such as hepatitis.

What can I do to keep the Omega-3 Fish Oil pills I'm taking from upsetting my stomach?

I have begun to take Omega-3 Fish Oil pills for my heart and my wife is taking them for our baby. When we take them, however, they cause significant gas and upset stomach. Is there something we can take with the pills to keep that from happening so we can get the health benefits without the upset stomach?|||There could be artificial additives or may not use a process that removes harmful contaminants. Manufacturers are not required by the FDA to list all ingredients on the label. I suggest switching brands - you really do get what you pay for when it comes to vitamins and supplements. I take and recommend all natural OmegaGuard. It's ultra pure and a pharmaceutical grade and uses low temperature, triple molecular distillation and purification process that concentrates natural beneficial omega 3 fatty acids and helps remove harmful contaminants including heavy metals lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, dioxins and PCBs.

Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me with questions.|||Keep the pills refrigerated so the oil won't be racid. My husband uses Omega-3 oil in a bottle and squeezes a little on toasted whole wheat bread every a.m. for breakfast. He doesn't have any problems - keeps it in the frig..|||Try taking the pills with milk, so it'll coat your stomach.|||You have to take small steps in order to get your body used to the fish oil.

My suggestions:

1-Start with 1 capsule of 1.000 mg a day with empty stomach. If after 3 -5 things are not going well try it AFTER you have eaten.

2- Once your stomach accepts 1 capsule add the 2nd and 3rd, etc one day after the next.

3-If you don麓t get off first base, try a different brand of fish oil.

Alfredo E.|||you can get in liquid. keep it refrigerated. no problems with me.

you can always put it on food if you dont want to eat straight.|||It may be the ones you are using. I used some last year that did the same with my stomach so I sought out some advice, changed the brand I was using and things have been fine with the brand I use now. Try www.myhealthabc.net, most of the sight is about losing weight, but there is a nutritonal coach who works there and he can advise you on what would be best for the both of you, plus you can get free advice on your diet and health in general. There is an email link and toll free number on the site so you can get help. I used this guy and he was great, my health has really improved since getting his advice and using the products he recommended. Good luck.

What part of the fish contains the omega 3 fatty acids? my friend says it is mostly in the skin of the fish?

She claims her deli person said that most of the omega 3 is in the skin.|||Your deli person is wrong. The omega 3 fatty acids are found in all parts of the fish, especially in the flesh of the meat. That is actually only true if the fish is wild and NOT farm raised. Like the cows that are being fed grain, the farmed fish are being fed feed that the fish do not normally eat in the wild. This has caused them to be severely deficient in omega 3 fatty acids and high in omega 6 fatty acids. The same problem that has happened to cows eating in feed lots.

This makes the fish unhealthy and that is why they feed them so much antibiotics. The way you can tell if a fish is farm fed or wild is to look at their fat. The farm fed fish have many streaks of fat running in the meat; whereas the wild fish have very little fat in the meat, just like grain fed cows that are very unhealthy for the same reason.

It's much cheaper to have farm raised fish and grain fed cows and they get fatter faster. It's just another way the food industry has corrupted our food supplies and just another reason Americans are head to head with being the sickest nation in the world.

I would hope some of the other countries in the world will start sending missionaries to the U.S. to show people how to have good food. The U.S. now ranks 45th in longevity. That means 44 countries in the world have people living longer than Americans do.

good luck to you

Is there any evidence that shows taking Omega-3 pills is not as effective as eating the equivalent in fish?

There's always a fuss that "natural is better"'. I'm curious if there are any studies that show that eating coldwater fish is more effective than taking an equivalent supplement of Omega-3 Pills.|||It is exactly the other way around, taking supplements is not only more effective but healthier. Let me explain:

It is a very well known fact of life that this earth is becoming more contaminated every day. The situation has reached such a level that most water, specially ocean water, is contaminated with everything we put in the air. Rain brings many of these pollutants down to the oceans.

When fish eat algae, plankton and smaller fish they absorb mercury. This mercury comes from the millions of tons of daily coal burning in electric generation, all over the world.

You may not get sick from eating fish from time to time. But if you are seriously thinking of getting the benefits of omega 3, you better believe me, all fish is contaminated with mercury. For example, just one 1000-mg capsule of fish oil(my minimum dosage recommendation is 3 grams/day) provides about the same amount of valuable marine fatty acids as 4 ounces of salmon. That is a lot of salmon, if you want to cover the minimum omega 3, even if you love it.

If all fish is contaminated with mercury and other toxins, are fish oil supplements free of them?.

Most of the omega 3 fish oil you find today in the general market is produced by a process called molecular distillation. The consumer information written on theses supplements indicate that they are safe to take.

For example, ConsumerLab.com found no detectable levels of mercury (less than 1.5 parts per billion) in more than 40 fish oil products analyzed. Consumer Reports also recently tested several popular brands and found that none contained significant levels of mercury, dioxins or PCBs. All that confirms the benefit of fish oil supplements. For more information you can visit http://www.consumerlab.com/results/omega鈥?/a>

These good news of the benefit of fish oil supplements are important for those taking high therapeutic doses to treat neurological disorders, such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and depression.

How omega-six fatty acids are related to thromboxane and prosta glandin?

How omega-six fatty acids are related to thromboxane and prosta glandin?|||Prostaglandin H2 is derived from arachidonic acid, an 蠅-6 fatty acid. The thomboxanes and other prostaglandins are derives from prostaglandin H2.

Is it dangerous if I take more Omega 3 pills than the bottle says?

The bottle says 3 per day, but sometimes I take 4 or 5 if I judge that my Omega 6 intake was higher that day (striving to keep a 1:2 Omega3:Omega6 balance).

Is this dangerous?|||We all know that omega 3 fatty acids are crucial for good health, but can we suffer from an omega-3 overdose?

Unfortunately, the answer will depend.

For omega-3 sources that you get from plants and nuts, such as flaxseed, and walnuts, it's very hard to overdose.

However, these are not the best sources for omega 3 fatty acids as there are three types of omega 3 fats: ALA, DHA and EPA.

The ALA form is what you find in plant forms like flaxseed. ALA needs to be converted by the body into DHA and EPA before use. This conversion may not happen efficiently for a variety of possible reasons.

Fish oils are the best source of DHA and EPA omega 3 fatty acids.

This is where the answer to Omega-3 Overdose will vary. It will depend on the fish source being used (in supplements) or consumed.

If you are taking cod liver oil, for example, which has a very high Vitamin A content, you can overdose....because Vitamin A is toxic is large amounts. Keep in mind it's the Vitamin A that is toxic here, not the omega-3 fats.

However, there are species of fish that are very high in beneficial DHA and EPA with extremely low Vitamin A content, which makes overdosing practicually nil because they are not produced from the liver.

Now this doesn't mean you want to overdo it by taking as much omega-3 fatty acids as you can. If you are an adult in good health, you can probably take 1 to 2 grams a day to maintain good health.

This is just a general rule of thumb.

If you have a specific health condition, the amount you take will vary.

However, most people, being deficient in omega 3 fatty acids, should consider taking the aforementioned 1 to 2 grams of omega 3 fatty acids per day.

One omega-3 warning to keep in mind is that omega 3 oils act as blood thinners. This can be beneficial for people who have clumpy, "sticky" blood. Blood thinners may help the blood flow more easily through arteries, benefiting the functioning of the heart. But too many blood thinners can post certain risks as well.

It's not that omega-3's are dangerous in this regard. It's just that if you are already taken blood thinners (whether over-the-counter or prescription) you should talk to your doctor before adding omega-3 supplements to your daily health regimen to make sure you aren't thinning your blood too much.

Overall for most people in the Western world, the problem isn't one of an omega-3 overdose, but not getting enough of these vital fats, which help improve brain and heart health, and do so much more.

1 to 2 grams a day of a purified, high quality, omega 3 rich fish oil supplement with low Vitamin A content is one of the best things the vast majority of Westerners can do to improve their health.|||Yes, overdose of vitamins is also bad

We're not trying to conceive again yet but the first time it didn't happen so I figured this was the problem. So my question is can you take the fatty acid pills while taking birth control.|||Yes, you can take both, they do not interact with each other. The Horse Head Nebula is approximately 1,500 light years from Earth and Sirius is about 8.6 light years away. =] So even at the speed of light you'd be waiting a while before you get there. =]|||The effects of special relativity are such that you could conceivably accomplish such a journey within several years, as measured and experienced by you. This would be complicated by the fact that:

1. When you return, the earth would be a few hundred thousand years older and would no longer be even close to the place where you left it.

2. You would have to survive sustained enormous acceleration and deceleration loads in order to continuously travel at near light speeds relative to your departure reference frame.

3. These acceleration and deceleration loads would have to be repeated at each of your stops if you actually wanted to stop and observe those objects.

4. The objects themselves would also experience a significant time dilation. By the time you reached the Horsehead, it would look like an Alligatorhead - and it would also be in a different location. The Omega Nebula might be gone by the time you get there.

What are the best omega 3 supplements with dha and epa?

what are the best omega 3 supplements with dha and epa? Among these, what companies refine their's the most for heavy metals and stuff like that? Price doesn't matter.|||There is one brand that is exclusive to physicians: PRN (Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals). The products are pharmaceutically licensed, NSF certified, and condition specific. Furthermore, they are recommended by some of the most prestigious physicians in the country.|||If price doesn't matter, I would recommend Dr.Mercola's krill oil. I am sure there are others that are comparable but I bet he oversees the production process. It's $63 + shipping for a 3 month supply.

How much dosage of Omega-3 to fight depression/anxiety?

My daughter is 17 and is trying alternative methods to fight depression. She started taking 5-HTP a week ago and I've seen some slight improvement already. If she also takes Omega-3 Fish Oil, does she need to take more than the average serving listed on the bottle?|||No, one cap a day is all you need. You also need to consider a healthy vegetable based diet with whole grains. Minimize the fats from meat and dairy. Exercise a lot. Enjoy lots of leisure activities... try to have fun even if she doesn't want to. Joke a lot. Talk to her... have her email me. Keep her mind active. Get plenty of sunlight. If sunlight isn't available, get plenty of artificial light and surround her with happy colors like yellow, for example. Have her read the book I talk about here:

Now before you knock me, I've been on real anti-whatever meds *anti-depressants/psychotics/sezier* and I learned pretty quick that if I expect it to fail, it does. I then started to expect it to work, and sure enough it did, at least a little. It's why cutters cut, they expect it to make them feel better, so it does.|||Your question intrigued me so I did a bit of research using 2 well-respected, authoritative instruments: (1) the National Library of Medicine's database on nutritional supplements/herbs and (2) the "PDR" (Physician's Desk Reference).

Specific to your question regarding dosage of Omega-3 fatty acids, fish oil, alpha-linolenic acid "...does she need to take more than the average serving listed on the bottle?" I would suggest that given a grade of "C" it doesn't matter because it is probable that this supplement won't make any difference to her depression anyway. Here's the information. I would implore you to take her to a proper doctor for evaluation instead of playing around with "Do-it-Yourself" strategies. Recent research overwhelmingly indicates that if left untreated CLINICAL depression worsens with time due to the adverse neurological effects. Depressive episodes increase in duration and severity in the absence of treatment.

- I just checked my own Omega-3 supplements- 1000mg. This is a high dosage capsule and the stuff correspondingly costs more. Although I don't believe Omega-3 does anything to support depression, I know for sure this stuff has immune-system boosting properties and is healthy for the heart. I take mine along with vitamin E (an anti-oxidant) because our oceans are so polluted in this day and age: read: mercury in the fish you eat and in the fish-oil supplements you take (for their EPA and DHA content).

High doses of 5-HTP are metabolized peripherally to serotonin and this can result in elevated serum levels of serotonin, with consequent adverse reactions related to the elevated levels (see Adverse Reactions). In Europe, where 5-HTP isused for the treatment of depression, it is used in combination with carbidopa, which inhibits the peripheral conversion of 5-HTPto serotonin.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The mechanism of the possible antidepressant activity of 5-HTPis accounted for by its conversion to the neurotransmitter serotonin which plays a central role in the affective state. Antidepressants may work by either binding to one or more of the family of serotonin 5-HT receptors (5-HT1 -5-HT7) or by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin. Thetricyclic antidepressants may work, in part, by binding to the serotonin 5-HT6 receptor, a member of the G protein superfamily which is positively coupled to an adenylate cyclase second-messenger system. The selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) selectively inhibit the reuptake of serotonin. 5-HTP most likely binds to one or more of the 5-HT receptors, although which one(s) in not known for sure….

RESEARCH SUMMARY

Scattered studies have shown that supplemental 5-HTP has significant anti-depressant effects in some. In one double-blind, multi-center study, 5-HTP was said to have antidepressant effects slightly better than the SSRI fluvoxamine. Other studies have been more equivocal. One study indicated that 5-HTP is not effective in those whose depression is not responsive to serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). More rigorous, longer term studies are needed.

PRECAUTIONS

Large doses of 5-HTP can trigger excess serotonin formation in tissues other than the target organ and cause significant adverse reactions…

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Eosinophilia and eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS) have been reported in those taking 5-HTP…

Other reported side effects, include nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, vomiting and difficult breathing. Neurological side effects, including dilation of the pupils, abnormally sensitive reflexes, loss of muscle coordination and blurring of vision, have been reported in those taking large doses of 5-HTP. Cardiac dysrhythmias have also been reported.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Supplemental 5-HTP is not recommended. In Europe, a combination of 5-HTP with carbidopa is available, and this combination appears to have a safer profile. However, those who wish to use this combination product, must do so only under medical supervision and prescription. It has been found that doses of 100 milligrams to 2 grams daily are required to observe any desired effect. These doses, without concomitant carbidopa, can be dangerous in some (see Precautions). Lower doses, which are available as dietary supplements, are unlikely to have any desirable effect.

If Omega 3 is eaten in very high doses it can cause strokes, or so wikipedia says, how high is this does?

How much Omega do you have to eat, and just once, or this dose multiple times before a stroke? I am taking supplements for Omega 3.|||generally if your body doesn't need the supplement that you are taking, it will just pass (if your urine is very yellow, this is why) for your body to OD on supplements, it takes ALOT - I mean an obscene amount. if you just follow the directions on the bottle and take the recommended amount, you'll be fine|||1st, beware of Wikipedia, anybody can add information. 2nd, everything is toxic according to the dose. Omega 3 fats are blood thinners and omega 6 are clotting agents. In theory if one consumes enough omega 3 fat, a stroke could occur. How good are omega-3 fatty acids for my health?

I keep hearing about omega-3 fatty acids and was wondering how good they are for me? what do they help with?|||Omega-3 fatty acids are very important for cardiovascular health and are important parts of a person's diet both during development (in utero as well as childhood), and even maintenance during all stages of life. They used to make up a much larger portions of humans' diet eons ago, but our modern diet has largely replaced them with Omega-6 fatty acids, which , while are also necessary for health, are not a replacement for Omega-3s.

There are many reasons why Omega-3 fatty acids are healthful to consume, from improving the body's lipid profile (cholesterol levels and ratio) as well as proper vision and brain function, and fetal development with pregnant women. The best website for information is The Omega-3 Fatty Acids FAQ at http://www.omega3faq.com

What does the production of Omega-3 do to the environment and wild life?

I've heard that it messes up the food chain and so one when they fish to make omega-3. Is it true?

Are there "safe" omega-3 products?|||Hey!

Omega 3 production when using fish is absolutely terrible for the environment.

As you're probably aware we as humans are severely depleting fish stocks on this planet and it takes around 6 times the fish to make fish oil and then from that you've got to concentrate it to get the omega 3 EPA and DHA that you want for health.

There are two alternatives both of which are more environmentally healthy and arguably better for your health due to lower toxicity.

The first is to use a plant based omega 3 such as flax or chia. These are grown in a sustainable way, often organically. The downside of course is that the kind of omega 3 in these plants is omega 3 ALA which your body then has to convert to EPA and DHA. This is at a very low conversion rate. Estimated to be 3-8% depending on the person.

The other alternative is to use an algae based supplement.

Fish don't make omega 3 EPA and DHA. Rather their bodies accumulate it through the algae which they eat. Further this is done on a farmed scale in a sustainable way with the excess being safely used as a green fertilizer and having unlimited potential for growth. MUCH better for you and the environment (and the fish! LOL).

The best brand of this kind of omega 3 is Opti3 as it's quite concentrated but there are others out there; you've just got to look.

What are some good vegan sources of Omega 3s and 6s?

I am vegan and am looking for good sources of omega 3s and 6s that are vegan. I heard that fish are the best source but I also heard that fish get their omega 3 from seaweed so I was wondering since I do not eat fish what are some vegan ways to get a good amount of omega 3s and 6s. Also, I am not looking for supplements. I want a natural way to get them.|||Well, since you brought it up - seaweed. Eat seaweed. It's delicious, and it's an awesome source to get your Omega 3s. You can get seaweed salads at your local Japanese restaurant, or even some chinese takeouts typically serve them sometimes. Other foods that are good sources for your good fats, like Omega 3s and 6s are:

Peanut Butter

Pistachios, Almonds, Macadamias, Walnuts, Pecans, etc.

Seeds like, Sunflower, Soy, Pumpkin, Sesame, Flax seed etc.

Oils, Olive Oil, Safflower Oil, Sesame Oil, Sunflower Oil, Avocado Oil, Flax seed Oil

Avocados|||We get plenty of omega 6 from grains. If you don't eat any grains you may need to supplement, but otherwise you'll be fine.

As for omega 3 you are correct, fishes get their from algae which then bioaccumulates up the food chain. So there is much more omega 3 in a fish like tuna than in the algae that was eaten by the krill that was eaten by the fish that was eaten by the fish that was eaten by the tuna. BUT we can produce this algae in labs without hurting anything, and I know of two brands suitable for vegans:

http://udoerasmus.com/products/oil_blend鈥?/a>

http://www.v-pure.com/omega3/

Anyway what is important to note is that there is a lot of misinformation on the web about omega 3 and it's presence in plant foods. It is true that seeds like flax and hemp and nuts like walnuts are high in omega 3 fatty acids. The problem is these are short chain acids called ALA. This type of omega three is good for the general health of the cells in our body, but our brain needs longer chain omega 3s called DHA. We make DHA ourselves by converting ALA, but the conversion doesn't give us enough DHA. Hence consuming algal DHA like the two sources above is the best way to stay healthy as a vegan, and adding the odd flax seed or walnut to your food won't hurt a bit.

EDIT: the DHA oil above is technically not a supplement, you can add it to salad dressing. I used to mix it with fresh fruit juice, but I don't like the seaweed flavour so I take the vegi caps instead.|||flax seeds

wheat germ- in whole wheat, wheatgerm oil, cereals etc

What is Omega 3 and what does it do for your body?

If I were to take an omega 3 supplement every day what would this do for me?What is it doing for my body?|||You know how saturated fat, mainly from meat and dairy products, is bad for you? Omega 3 is a range of different types of fats that are good for you.

If you cook some meat then allow the fat left over in the pan to go cold it goes hard, right? That's saturated fat and that's what it does in your blood. It blocks up your arteries and isn't good for you for a range of reasons.

If you cook fish and let the fat left over go cold it isn't hard, it's runny. So that's good fats, or polyunsaturated fats.

There's a number of Omega 3 fats. DHA is the most important, and EPA is too. Both are found in marine sources, basically fish.

Then there's ALA found in plant sources like flaxseeds. Not as important but still useful to your health.

There's a wide range of different conditions that have been shown to respond positively with Omega 3 supplementation. The American Heart Association tells us to eat fish at least twice a week for our heart. The Omega 3 fats in fish are good for us.

They reduce the risk of heart attacks, heart disease and strokes. Studies have shown that Omega 3s are good for your brain, improving memory and brain function.

There's more conditions that are said to respond to Omega 3 like depression, arthritis and any condition where inflammation is an issue. Omega 3s reduce inflammation more than aspirin.

And there's more. Have a look at the website below if you want to find out more. It gets quite involved.

Unfortunately the toxins in fish (mercury, PCbs, dioxine and so on) aren't good for us so you shouldn't eat a lot of fish. The FDA tells us not to eat a lot for that reason.

The best way to take Omega 3 is to take supplements daily. The best ones aren't contaminated and so you don't need to worry about that. Not all of them are the same though, you have to choose well.|||There are three major types of omega 3 fatty acids that are ingested in foods and used by the body: alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Once eaten, the body converts ALA to EPA and DHA, the two types of omega-3 fatty acids more readily used by the body. Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and help prevent risk factors associated with chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. These essential fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain and appear to be particularly important for cognitive (brain memory and performance) and behavioral function. Symptoms of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include extreme tiredness (fatigue), poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation.

Choose a quality supplement if you are seriously taking it to better your health.|||Omega 3 is a fatty acid commonly found in fish.

They are very useful for our brain for brain function. The body uses EPA and DHA( fish oil). If you take ALA (plant, nut oil, etc) the body converts it into these but it's a difficult process and you can lose some so it's better to just take ones that are already made this way.

If you take Omega 3 you want to balance it with Omega 6. Having more than the other can cause more bad than good. But Omega 6 is found in a lof of the foods we eat and more Americans now a days are getting more Omega 6 and not enough 3. You may want to consult nutritionist before you indulge in taking any type of supplements. If you take supplements high in other vitamins you can end up overdosing.

Taking Omega 3 will help increase brain and heart function. Omega 3 thins the blood and will help it to flow easier through the blood. "For adults, fish oil improves memory, recall, reasoning and focus. You'll swear you're getting younger and smarter." You may find yourself happier, They help increase Good Cholesterol, lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure break up blood clots, and supposedly helps prevent some types of cancer.

So Omega 3 is very helpful to all Americans and helps contribute to a balanced diet. But once again i would consult a nutritionist though this is up to you. You can research on how much the average American needs to take to help sustain a healthy body. Once again it's easy to overdose on this product due to other vitamins (Vitamin A) that may come out of fish. It's hard to overdose on plant, nut oil but it normally only supplies APA which the body tries to convert but since it's so difficult the body can fail and you loose a lot of the Omega 3, also plant, or nut oil like Flaxseed Oil can be unpleasant as it's full of fiber and you may be rushing to the bathroom at undesirable levels. Good luck.|||omega 3 fish oil!!

When is it most important to take omega 3 while pregnant?

I am 6months pregnant and read I should take a seperate Omega 3 supplememnt(without fish oil to avoid mercury) for babys brain developement and eyes.I wasnt told by my doctor is it too late in my pregnancy to make a difference?|||It's never too late for both you and the baby! If you take fish oil for omega-3 supplementation be sure and consume "pharmaceutical grade". Omega-3 pharmaceutical grade fish oil is much more concentrated so you obtain much more benefits from a given dosage and toxins such as PCB's, dioxin, mercury and oxidized lipids have been removed. Typical health food grade fish oils are not pharmaceutical grade. The only way to be sure is to ask to see third party laboratory anaylsis of the finished product. It should contain at least 60% long chain omega-3 fatty acids (EPA + DHA), less than 45 ppb PCB's and less than 1 ppt dioxin.

Is my Omega HP 150 5 Speed bicycle from the 70s worth anything?

I have an old parts bike from the 70s, it's an Omega 5 speed, and I was wondering if it's worth restoring or if I should just get rid of it for 50 bucks on Craigslist. Any bike nuts out there know anything?|||try $15

wle.|||$70 was probably a decent price. Older bikes are sometimes quite valued by collectors. I myself restore old bicycles so I'd have to admit prices can vary depending on the bike's brand, quality, amount of rust and whether it has any problems with it that need to be fixed.

How can I get my omega 3's during pregnancy without the fish?

I am 6 weeks 3 days pregnant and I am having difficulty eating most things because I have severe 'morning sickness' all day. I know that omega 3 fatty acids are one of the important elements of growth and development. I have looked at a list of foods that are rich in omega 3's...but they are all foods that make me nauseous right now. My doctor's appt. isn't for another week...could I take a fish oil supplement?|||DHA pills!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walmart sells them for about $8. I took these every day I was pregnant and breastfeeding. We can TELL how much our daughter sees things and how observant she is. People are always remarking about how they can't get over how observant she is!

Companies are also putting DHA in formula and baby foods now too.|||There is a "pill" you can take that I started taking.. Expectra by Enfamil... You get 30 days worth in a box and it's not fish based! Available at Wal-Mart, that's where I got mine.|||I just take a pill every day. Very easy and no taste at all.

Is an Omega brand sewing machine a good quality machine?

I am wanting to learn to use a sewing machine. So my first obstacle, is finding a good one. I am looking at an Omega Heavy Duty Sewing machine (model 7142) right now. I know Singer is a popular brand, but is this one just as good?|||It's not a brand I've ever heard of, unless you're talking Necchi Omega, which are not cheap. The $70 Omega machines I'm seeing on ebay look like trouble to me.

Best advice I can give you:

http://www.cet.com/~pennys/faq/smfaq.htm

If the machine you're looking at is not a Necchi, I'd be very worried about service and parts availability in the US (and apparently everywhere else, if my google searching abilities haven't totally deserted me).|||Omega is a brand made by Euro Pro Sewing machines. Most popular are the models #605 and #7500. They are sold at Walmart for about $200. These are great machines to learn on and see if you are serious about sewing. I have had mine for about 3 years with absolutely no problems.

Easy to use.

How do omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids relate to alkalinity and acidity?

Or do they? And if they do, are omega-3s more commonly tied to alkaline foods... and omega-6s more tied to acidic foods?|||Structurally the molecules are similar, with the main difference that one has 3 double bonds and 18 carbons while the other has 2 double bonds and 18 carbons.

According to http://www.rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.鈥?/a> some of the foods are acid-producing and others are alkaline-producing. No correlation between 3 and 6 and specific food acid/alkaline properties that I know of.|||Omega acids are essential fatty acids which human cannot synthesise in body (fatty acids with unsaturation beyond C-9 and C-10). The omega acids are not free acids, these are esterified to the triglycerides we consume as food. Rather, they are useful in reducing gastric ulcer. They are important transport tools for cholesterol and synthsise prostaglandin.

Can Omega ask a court for an order to stop enforcement of the regulation? If not, what can Omega do?

Omega Company operates a computer chip production plant. Paula is the president of Omega. Ron, a representative of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, inspects the plant and, citing a certain regulation, orders Omega to take specified steps immediately to improve sanitation at the plant. Paula believes that Ron is either exceeding his authority or that the regulation Ron claims to be enforcing is excessive. Can Omega ask a court for an order to stop enforcement of the regulation? If not, what can Omega do?|||Yes, Omega can seek to enjoin enforcement if either the administrative agency has abused its authority under the regulation or the regulation is invalid due to inconsistency with the authorizing statute. Omega may need to exhaust available administrative remedies before pursuing a court action, however.

Let me know how we did on the class assignment.

What is so dangerous about fish oil omega 3?

Hey iv'e been told that fish oil has allot of poisons in it..

id like to know more about this please and what is the alternative for fish oil Omega 3?|||While, a good source of EDA/DHA Omega 3, fish oil may be taken from fish contaminated by PCB's and dioxins, and may have high levels of trans fat. It has been found to have numerous side effects including diarrhea, oily stool, heartburn, bad breath, indigestion.|||So鈥ou鈥檝e been told that. Who told you that?

I could right now say something stupid about omega 3, whatever I want to say, unfounded, un-researched, and end up forever in a search online about the "poisons in omega 3".

Chill out, eat fish and don鈥檛 eat pills.

The dangerous thing about fish is that if you steal a fish from a hungry fisherman, he could stab you in the back.|||Outside of possible interaction with certain medical conditions, it isn't harmful. It has only benefits. There is a risk of heart attack if you have certain types of heart defibrillators. The best answer, as with any supplement, is to talk to your family physician before starting it. They know what, if any, medicines you take and any possible interactions or problems that may arise.|||It is not good for you if the fish oil source is not pure and is not from fresh fishes. When buying a fish oil, always look at the supplier鈥檚 Certificate of Analysis (COA). The oxidation levels should be as low as possible. I take fish oil everyday, but only the one that is pure and fresh.|||Excess amounts of Omega-3 in your diet can cause slow transmorphation.

After years of Omega-3 abuse the body can become confused as genetic information begins to combine with fish DNA from the oil, eventually causing fish-like scales to appear on your body in patches.|||When you hear about toxins in fish, usually it is in reference to the mercury. A lot of seafood contains mercury and excessive mercury can be very detrimental to health. As for omega 3, this is safe, but just like most nutrients, anything in excess can be harmful.|||You could catch aids!!!!

Studies show that TONALIN庐 CLA reduces body fat and weight in four ways:

* By decreasing the amount of fat that is stored after eating

* By increasing the rate of fat breakdown in fat cells

* By increasing the rate of fat metabolism

* By decreasing the number of fat cells

What Omega 3 does, is fighting the cholesterol, improving the circulation,,,,

What are the Nutritional benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids?

What (exactly) are the benefits of foods that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids?

I know that fish (cold water seafoods) are high in this nutrient.

I normally do eat a "balanced" diet (I eat more veggies %26amp; fresh fruits than meats.)

Thanks for feedback.|||clear skin but its a combination of eating other healthy foods. Cholesteral decreases, too. good for cardiovascular health.|||I take flax seed oil (very high in omega 3's) to clear up my skin. It works great. I think the biggest benefit is that it helps your heart functions.|||Actually, you don't need to diet as such if you want to lose weight, the one method which definitely delivered for me is wu-yi tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a limited number of free trials in stock, it has been featured in Fox News and USA Today. How to teach a 8 month old German Shepherd that he is the last in rank in his pack (us), omega?

I read that we will need to teach our German Shepherd that he is last in rank, omega, and we are ahead of him, rank wise. How do we teach him to understand that he is last in rank? Thanks.|||With the first answer, I would add, never feed him table scraps, don;t let him eat while you are eating, when he gets a little out of hand when you are playing, grab him Firmly but gently at the loose skin of his neck and push him down to the floor and look him in the eye while you do it. Be calm, animals read body signals, make Him lie down on his side and look him in the eye until he looks away. That looking away means he knows you are the boss dog. I am glad you are training your puppy, you will both be happy for it. A dog likes to know his position in the household.

Let him know his fun time though, within reason, lots of walks are great. When I trained my 7 year old to heel, I had to wear him out a little at first with lots of running around.

Please don't indulge your dog in any cute habits that seem fun when is a puppy, excessive barking, begging for food, or paws on you or others, when he grows up and gets heavier, nobody wants a full grown German Sheppard jumping up on them with muddy paws. That is my dogs worst trait. I wish somebody gave this advice when I got my puppy. One more then I will stop. For no reason, no matter how cute, let your dog on the furniture. Give him a comfortable blanket or dog bed where he sleeps the most.

Most of all, be firm but patient and have fun, puppies are cute but a well trained dog is admirable. I never heard of the biting a dogs lip thing, I heard from a friend that if he jumps and tries to mount anyone, you have to stand over the dog with your foot on either side of the dog and look down on him. Make the dog lie down with a firm push of the hands and say NO in a firm low voice. Keep saying No like that whenever you catch him doing something wrong. When you want to praise, speak in a normal tone and when you want to get him worked up during play time talk a little loud and excited. It is all about body signals and tone of voice. I am glad my older dog is a well trained healthy dog, it was worth the time spent.|||don't keep a dog. You should keep a military. You don't rank a dog at home! its also a family member!|||When we had a Rottweiler (RIP Roxie) we had this problem at first. The vet gave me a few pointers. Big dogs think they can push you around. It is inbreed in them. When you are playing with the dog, pick the dog up, and actually put it on its back. (Don't slam it to hurt it.) Hold it there for a few seconds. In a dog pack, that is a symbol of authority. The alpha dog is alway on top. It may take a couple of times. It really worked for our rottie and she became the sweetest most lovable dog. She realized that two legged people were the boss.

We currently have a boxer and did the same thing when it was a puppy before the behavior ever started and never had a problem of "dog bossiness"

Hope this helps!|||A good lesson (and reminder) is this: NILIF - Nothing In Life Is Free. He wants to play with you? Do it when you command him to. He wants dinner? Make him sit/lie down/shake paw/etc. for it. Ditto with water.

Give a dog an inch, they'll take a foot, and so forth. You have to be there to discipline right away and make clear what YOUR boundaries are, not his. He doesn't call the shots; YOU do.

He has to respect you, while you prove to be a trustworthy -master-. Yes, you must be the master. You tell him and show him how to live. Then he will respect you AND follow your every word.

Any command you give him, tell him once. If he doesn't obey, do it; you tell him to sit and he doesn't sit, go over and tuck his hind legs in so he sits.

You are in control, not him. Yes, it's sort of like boot camp, but these are hierarchial pack animals. That's how and why they establish the pecking order. Make sure you are the top!

**EDIT * How else can you establish that you are alpha, and dog is omega? If people and dogs simply co-existed and co-habited, then that's it. But people and dogs can NOT just co-exist and co-habit...you'd have a cat, not a dog. As I've stated, it is well noted that dogs are HIERARCHIAL PACK animals. We, as humans, apply such terms as 'family member', but what do they know? Why else would they need to establish and respond to who's top dog, and who's below them?

A German Shepherd would probably respond quite excellently to this. They are smart; the police train and use them. All dogs feel safer knowing their place in the pack, knowing who to depend on and who depends on them.

As the alpha and the master, it is up to you to provide them that stability. It's a win-win situation. You get the respect you want, and he feels comfortable knowing he can depend on you, and will follow you obediently to the ends of the earth. :)

And I do keep a dog, and constantly remind her what her boundaries are. I reward her when she obeys, and I lower my voice at her and stare her down or tell her to 'go to her room' (crate) when she doesn't. Dogs need to learn 'tough love'.|||Here is a link specifically for training german shephard puppies.

http://germanshepherddog.ca/training.htm

Another link you might find helpful says this:

"A one-year-old German Shepard Dog howls and screams when it meets another person and appears more aggressive on the lead than off. The high pitch of the bark indicates that the dog is in the wrong situation as a leader and for which it is not competent to perform. To reduce the howls and screams try to meet up with a friend and talk without showing any interest in your dog. Stand sideways on to your dog and totally ignore it. If it is very noisy, take some cotton wool for your ears. Wait for your dog to stop howling for a few moments and then give praise and a titbit. If it starts howling again just ignore the dog. You are encouraging your dog to do nothing when you meet people, as you should control the meeting not the dog. It is also useful to teach speak on command exercise as this includes a cease command. If your dog will hold things in its mouth you could give, your dog the lead to hold and that should keep it quiet."

More to that article, and here's the link:

http://www.dogbehaviouradvice.com/dba/re鈥?/a>|||Basically, always show your authority and make him go last for everything. Never let him go through a door first. Always make him wait to eat until after the people have eaten.|||You must assert dominance.

Make him submissive, if he gets out of control ever, you put him to the ground and hold him there, hand over the throat area. No not choking, just firm so the dog knows YOU control him.

When you feed him make him WAIT until you give permission for him to eat it. Even if its a dog biscut 2 inches from his nose, don't allow him to eat it till you give permission. When you serve his food put your hand in the bowl if dry food, or between dog and the food. Make him respect your hand and that its only his food because you give it to him.

Is my unopened bottle of Omega-3 Fish Oil Concentrate still good if the expiration date is 9/09?

Research indicates that taking in Omega-3 is great for the heart but better if taken in when actually eating fish. I bought a dietary supplement and misplaced it in the back of a cupboard. Does anyone know if I'll get sick from the fish oil since it's past the expiration date?|||Medications, both OTC and prescription, have expiration dating on them for a reason. Most of the time, once the expiration date is reached, the active ingredient in the product begins to lose its effectiveness (i.e. potency). As time passes, this loss increases. Some medication, such as Tetracycline, actually becomes dangerous, once the expiration date is past. My advice-toss the old and purchase the new. Omega 3 isn't very costly.|||Oils and fats can go rancid (spoil). Same with the oils in perfumes, can change the way a perfume smells over time. It could be ok, but probably some of the oil has gone rancid (spoiled from bacteria) and some of the anti-oxidants have oxidized.

Of course, it's supposed to be support and it's preferrable to get the nutrients from actual food, but like you said.... salmon? Yech.

What amount of vitamins & Omega 3 should I take for depression & are ebay 1s as good as shop bought?

I am trying to beat depression the natural way. I heard you should take more B Vitamins %26amp; more Omega 3s. How much of these should I take? I plan on also taking St Johns Wort. Also on ebay you can buy St Johns wort Supplements for like 拢1.50 where as in boots they are about 拢20 so are the ones on ebay as good and trustworthy?|||Claire- Let me start by stating that I am NOT a doctor, so this information cannot be used as medical advice. That said, I am vary familiar with the subject, and may be able to point you in the correct direction.

First, you are correct about B-vitamins and omega 3's helping with depression. Both help with brain function. I would recommend a good B complex vitamin, taken at labeled doses, plus extra B6. B6 can be especially useful for depression, but is needed at higher dosages (250mg/day) then is found in a normal B complex. I would go with a company such as NOW foods for these.

Next, you are also correct about the benefits of omega 3 on mental health. The brand I most highly trust is Nordic Naturals.

The other user was also correct on vitamin D. Most of the civilized world is severely deficient. We spend too much time inside, so get outside more. If not possible, you can supplement this as well. Vitamin D3 around 2000mg/day has shown to be beneficial.

I would NOT buy the supplements on ebay. The supplement industry is already loosely regulated, your chances of getting something of quality on ebay is very slim. The company that I always buy from is iherb.com. They've been the cheapest source of quality products that I have found. They're located in the US, but ship international airmail for only $4.00. This site http://www.iherb-coupon-review.com had a coupon code (HOF701) for iHerb for $5.00 off and the reduced shipping. I haven't used this coupon, but give it a try!

P.s. I'm not familiar enough with St. John's Wort to comment on that.

Hope this helps!|||The best thing I can recommend is natural, and it's free.Sunlight.It boosts vitamin D in your body which is a natural anti-depressant.I wouldn't trust any tablets off the internet, also it's not good to keep taking tablets as the side effects can be harmful.
