Do products containing Omega-3 fish oil have mercury in them?

Is it safe to eat products that contain Omega-3 fish oil, like dairy products or peanut butter or generally anything that says it's in there, because of the possibility of mercury? I am on the autistic spectrum, which makes me especially awry, because autistics tend to accumulate mercury in their bodies more than regular folk.|||NO! The omega-3's in non-animal products like milk are not derived from salmon, or any fish for that matter. Omega-3's are found in plants but in FAR LESS amounts than fish.

Don't worry about PCB's like mercury. Mercury is due to bioaccumulation which is not a problem for plants but a problem for carnivores or other animals at the top of the food chain like salmon and us humans.|||No because you would die because mercury is poisoness
