What are good sources for omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids?

I'm a vegetarian, and some of the major sources of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids I don't eat. I know hemp seeds have both these fatty acids, but what are other sources?|||FISH

tuna

salmon is good too|||good source : OILY FISH ( cod , salmon, trout, eel and tuna), bt since you're a vege ... these are out of the question....

other good source: nuts(pecan, hazel and walnut ) , flax seed(bread and pill forms), sesame oil, prime rose oil , olive oil and etc...(used these oil without heating them as heat will destroy the goodness of these oil), Kiwi , blue berry , black berry, rasp berry , milk and herds (sage)|||omega-3 is better.|||I belive Dr. OZ said fish. My husband doesn't eat fish, so I think walnuts and other nuts are good as well.|||Flax and hemp seeds contain more omega 3 LFA's than any other organism. Unfortunately all the research taking place is comparing fish oils to meats and not these vegetable sources of omega 3.

Why? Maybe I'm cynical, but it seems the fishing industries need to do all they can to give people a reason to buy their product, when it is so clear that they have overharvested most stocks in most areas of the world, so many consumers are avoiding this unsustainable industry.

Omega 6 are found in vegetable oils http://www.annecollins.com/dietary-fat/o鈥?/a>

however it is the balance between these two (as well as omega 9) EFA's which is essential to good human health.|||Fish is *not* the only source of omega3. Flax seed oil is a great source of omega 3. You can buy flax seed oil supplements from health food stores and chemists. It is made from plants so it's OK for vegetarians %26amp; vegans. Other good sources include fresh nuts, seeds, legumes and avocados.|||Best Vegetarian source for Omega 3,6, %26amp; 9 is Hemp and Manitoba Hemp Milk and Hemp Butter are both excellent sources and available. Hemp provides not only the Omega's but extraordinary amounts of protein. Nature's Path has cereals that incorporate it. IsaCrunch is another hemp product which has had its nutrition boosted by the addition of Isalyte Minerals. You can learn more about by checking out www.bettesos.isagenix.com. I like to add it to salads and baked goods.

Flax is second on the list but frankly it is hard to digest.

Natures Path also has cereals and other products that incorporate it and there are dried cracker like products of seasoned flax seeds. Of course there is also flax oil but I find its flavor to be nasty.
